Who can become a member?

For the time being membership on look for skill is intended for residents in the EU-/EEA-countries and Switzerland - countries that allow free movement of goods, capital, services and people among them. All members must be able to offer 1 to 3 cultural and creative services within the defined categories on the Site - either to all these countries, or 1-5 specifically defined. We expect all members to have relevant knowledge and skill for the offered services.

Both people with and without a business/company - for example self-employed or hobbyists - can become members. We want to enable a personal meeting between visitors and members. Therefore members should present themselves as individuals, whether they have a business or not. A group of artists may as well offer their services. However, companies with several employees, who wish to offer their services on the Site, have to register one account for each employee, as there are the individuals who stand for knowledge and skill - not a business in itself.

What does the membership include?

As a member, you can in a simple way introduce yourself and the services you offer. By registering and creating an account, you get access to your Member Page, where your profile is created and updated. You decide when you want to make your profile public.

Your Public Profile includes: Basic info, 1-3 Service offers, About - more info about you, News, Contact form, Guestbook, 1-3 Links, Share-on social media and "Add to Memolist", which enables visitors or other members to save a link to you. In addition the Member Page also includes View Profile, Account info, a Memolist, Help and a Notice Board where we will post useful info for you.

The links you include must be related to you and/or your business, e.g. your own website or blog.

To become a member you must register and create an account (the "Account").

At the time of registration you must enter your name, e-mail address and choose a password. The password is personal and may only be used by you. You are responsible for storing the password in a secure manner and you are responsible for any unauthorized use of your account. You must notify us of any unauthorized use of your password.

You will receive an e-mail confirming the registration. By becoming a member you agree to use a correct e-mail address and to receive e-mails from us. Your account will be deleted if you use an incorrect e-mail address.

Member account/profile

In the profile you will provide voluntary information and some mandatory information. Not all of this information will be public when you publish your profile. You can check "View profile" in your Member Page to see what will be or is public.

You must ensure that the information given is correct, for the relevant purpose and that it does not contain offensive, defamatory or discriminating material. You agree that you will not pretend to be or attempt to impersonate another person. You also agree to ensure that the information remains accurate and current at all times. We reserve the right if needed, to remove published material of any kind.

Member Accounts are not transferable and may only be used by the member personally. Creation of a new Account following termination by the Operator is not permitted.

Active members

It is important that members are active, so that the services offered are available to interested customers. We expect each member to update the information in their profile as soon as there is reason to do so and to change the first image in the gallery from time to time for each service that the member offers, so that returning visitors see that something new is happening in the search results.

Suspension and Termination of Access and Membership

A member can at any time during the membership choose to temporarily unpublish his/her public profile or completely terminate the membership and the publication of the profile.

You agree that the Operator may at any time and without notice, suspend or cancel any part of the Service or terminate your membership and/or delete any content stored on the Site, in the sole discretion of the Operator if you breach the Terms of Use & Privacy or applicable law. In such case we will inform you about the termination of the membership.

If we suffer liability to third parties, or other costs as a result of circumstances mentioned in the preceding paragraph, the Member is obliged to indemnify us for this.

This Privacy Policy applies only to the Site and explains the information we collect, how we use that information, how long we keep it and what options you have in sharing information. If you have questions about this policy, please contact us here.

Despite these precautions, however, we cannot guarantee for unauthorised access to your PII.

We rely on you to select passwords that are not easily guessed passwords and to protect from disclosure.
